It’s a standard button-up this time.
This is such a stunning recolor that I didn’t recognize it was a recolor at first; I mistook it for a new mesh.
It just so happened that this designer provided the basic game top the much-needed change.
There was nothing wrong with the original, but these vibrant plaid choices are a welcome change.
And they’ll work for a wide variety of Sims. Plaid is a descriptor that defies categorization.
Smaller and more compact patterns appear in some of the designs, while large, boxy squares appear in many others. There are a few colorful versions, as well as a number of simpler but equally lovely color schemes.

I’ve never been sure whether plaid and flannel were the same thing… Clearly, flannel refers to the fabric, while plaid is a pattern.

For years, this shirt has been one of my most worn CCs.

MarvinSims’ plaid patterns and color palettes are usually masculine, and each one is unique.
The toughest thing about this creation, with 10 patterned swatches and 6 solids, is having to select only one when dressing your Sim!
However, if you want the entire look, you can also download the undershirt accessories for more realism (check the description). They’ll still look beautiful without it, but that tiny patch makes a tremendous impact in the overall feel.

There are two different shirts available in a variety of plaid swatches.
The first item is a traditional buttoned blouse.
Your Sim’s rolled sleeves will sit at her elbows and taper to her body. It’s very impressive how this Simmer was able to get such a realistic texture while keeping the Maxis Match aesthetic.
We wouldn’t have as many feminine shirts (like these!) if it weren’t for talented designers like SaurusSims.
The second edition, on the other hand, is a game changer.
In terms of fashion prowess, at least.
With the knotted shirts that are exactly the proper height to match up with most jeans, skirts, and shorts, your Sim will look better than ever.
5. Open Checkers Shirt for Men

Plaid shirts’ long-lasting appeal may be attributed to its adaptable design.
We’ve previously seen them knotted and buttoned as an accessory.
Your Sims may now wear an open shirt, which is another must-have item!
For guys, this is about as cool and casual as it gets.
These shirts pair well with a wide range of bottoms, from shorts to jeans and khakis, and may be worn bootcut or rolled at the ankle.
It’s a free-for-all situation.
This style has been popular for a long time, and it’s appropriate for Sims of all ages. In any of them, a San Myshuno artist would look just as nice as a farmer from Henford-On-Bagley!

It’s difficult to beat the feeling of being at ease.
Many people are concerned that big clothing would make them seem ugly, but the thing with plaid is that it’s almost impossible to look awful in it. They’re not as dull as a simple tee or as intricate as a beautiful blouse, but they look great on their own.
It may be aggravating how all of the Sims’ outfits are virtually designed to suit them. In some respects, this is advantageous since the garments may be worn by any Sim of any size.
On the other hand, you’re basically out of luck if you want a stylishly big shirt.
Then there are a few jewels like these, which come directly from the gamers. These are excellent quality and just what I’ve been looking for in an oversized plaid shirt.

That print appears in all 30 samples, in various sizes, shapes, and colors. They look great with this big top, which is based on the original game shirtdress.
I’ve always felt it lacked a little something. It’s the one with a few striped swatches if you’re unfamiliar with the original.
Clearly, there were almost two dozen other plaid variations that were missed!
You’ll have to improvise a little with leggings or other accessory bottoms since this is still classified as an ensemble rather than a shirt.
Unless you want your Sim to wear this and nothing else. Of course, that’s always an alternative.
8. Tops of the Riptide

Here are a few more fashionable knotted shirts.
The plaid shirt’s sleeves are rolled up at the elbows and feature a contemporary cut. Each of the knotted tops is layered with a form-fitting long sleeve shirt.
If you’re not a fan of accessory tops or find them overwhelming, this makes things a bit easier. Furthermore, the job is done for you, and each swatch has a neat appearance.
And there isn’t a single button on this outfit that is secured. As a result, it exudes a relaxed atmosphere.
Maybe it’s just me, but I get excited to pick out some necklaces everytime I see a gap revealing part of the breast like that.
9. Flannel Shirts with Pockets

With those wonderful buttoned shirts above, we’ve already seen some of his work.
Those buttons, on the other hand, are just cosmetic.
These shirts, on the other hand, are completely open, with a plain white tee below.
The plaid patterns are, without a doubt, the center of attention.
They’re as laid-back as the designer claims, and will be a great addition to your CAS wardrobe. Basic yet attractive clothing is usually a smart idea to have on hand.

At first, I mistook this for an effort to launch a Sim fashion brand, similar to Kate Spade and Liz Claiborne in real life.
But no, I’m simply behind the times — these tees were inspired by (and named after) a character from the game Life is Strange.
In any event, these shirts are great for women’s flannels.
The developer Cas-original fulleditmode’s version is great. They’re loose, open, and have a wonderfully true worn aspect about them.
Simmeronnie, on the other hand, provided them with some gorgeous recolors in this CC.
These new swatches are a touch bolder and brighter, and there’s no lack of hues to check out with 20 in all.
12. Plaid Open Layered Shirt For The Patio

Perfect Patio is the second item pack for The Sims 4, and it’s a touch shorter on content than we’re accustomed to.
As a result, it’s a bit forgotten today, more than six years later.
However, it still contains several useful features, especially in CAS.
The pack’s overarching theme is patios and the enjoyment that can be gained directly in a Sim’s own backyard. As a result, the outfit is perfect for hanging out with friends outdoors.
This open button-up shirt with short sleeves was in desperate need of a plaid makeover.
MonoChaos did a fantastic job with it.
The plaid design is available in a variety of bright tones, but all 10 samples have a black shirt below.

Because it’s as common as t-shirts these days, there are plenty of trousers, shorts, and maybe even skirts in CAS that will go with it.
If you enjoy plaid in general, you’ll get a lot of usage out of it. It’s one of the most adaptable shirts for female Sims because to its basic design.

We’ve already established that plaid works well with most casual clothes, and this is a great low-key alternative for the males.
There’s a basic red flannel pattern here, but there’s also green, blue, gray, brown, and black.

These shirts are ideal for adding a rough touch.
This design also provides a comfortable fit. The rolled sleeves will keep your Sim warm for the most of the year, while the knit-textured undershirt will keep her toasty in the winter.
