The most recent installment of the Halo series, “Halo Wars 2,” released this week and has players anticipating how these upcoming installments are going to shape up. This might be surprising but it’s true: while games like “Fortnite” have become incredibly popular, they’ve been mostly solo-driven.
The “importance of being a team player” is a phrase that is often used in games. In the game, “Overwatch,” it can be seen how important teamwork is. The team that has more players on their side will have an easier time winning than the other team.
This is something I’ve seen in every Battlefield game, but it seems to have peaked in 2042. However, just playing as a team and not being selfish in your loadout is sufficient. It’s incredible how successful it can be, particularly in a game like Conquest when you’re spread out more. When I play Breakthrough, I notice that certain playstyles, such as medics, are more prevalent. However, in conquering, I notice much fewer “serious” doctors attempting to resurrect.
- Rao – Dude’s hacking is incredible in terms of assisting others. Absolutely fantastic. If people aren’t aware, hacking a vehicle disables its ability to employ weapons. When I witness two tanks or two planes battling, I simply love utilizing this. This is really beneficial to my staff. When you notice someone rushing towards a tank with C4, you may use it on them as well. Because the tank can’t fire it, it saves that person’s life, and the individual gets a good C4 kill. Most of the time, no visible queue or “hack assist” indication informs the player that a Rao or EMP has just assisted them.
- Casper is a robot. In Conquest, you’ll see a lot of drones since they’re simple to level up. But it’s a lot less in conquering. It may be quite useful for seeing adversaries and transforming a player clearing a place into a man with an eye in the sky who always knows where foes are. Casper drones may also attack (or hijack) vehicles, preventing them from using their armaments. Again, you may quickly alter the course of a vehicle battle and greatly assist a teammate.
- Actually reviving — In conquering, you see a lot fewer individuals reviving. Not to say they don’t exist, but having a whole battle play out and the endscreen most revive person state “most revives: 15” occurs often. It is possible to shift the tides of fights if you aggressively play medic and make it your main mission to revive AND heal. It’s fantastic.
- Tool for Repair! – Only a small percentage of individuals actually use a repair tool. It’s most common with passengers on transport helis (love you guys btw). However, utilizing it with on-the-ground vehicles such as tanks and other vehicles may greatly increase the life of such vehicles and potentially shift battle fortunes. There’s nothing better for me than hopping on the tank as a passenger and taking on the job of repair/crewmate. We’ve gone on over 40 killing sprees with them since our collaboration is so strong.
- Soflams – Soflams are incredible at applying extreme pressure on cars. Not only does the auto lock on rockets assist a lot, but they also have a continual “WARNING LOCK” that confuses and terrifies many players into making errors. Keep in mind that soflams let a player to use ground-based missiles to lock onto an aircraft. For instance, what about anti-vehicle lock missiles on helicopters and jets? If an aircraft has a soflam lock, they may be used on it. It enables such aircraft to serve in both anti-air and anti-ground roles.
- Squad insertion points – there are so few individuals who utilize them. A well-placed insertion point may enable you to keep putting pressure on points, flanking, and generally messing with the enemy’s line. If I’m playing a map with a flag on top of a skyscraper that I know we won’t be able to keep for the whole of the game, I’ll put a concealed insertion point there. The number of games in which my team has led the charge to reclaim those points is enormous. I recently finished a game in which my team continued taking and applying pressure to a single spot on a skyscraper. We had a 300-point advantage. Finally, the adversaries realized what they were up against, discovered the point, and destroyed it. We lose our 300-point advantage in less than 10 minutes because we are no longer able to exert pressure on that point. We still sell tickets by the tens, but I’ve seen a number of games where a well-placed insertion point can change a war.
- MAVs and Transport Helicopters – Helis are often seen. It is critical to have a strong pilot who makes it his primary mission to take players to flags and operate as a mobile spawnpoint. It’s similar to having a movable insertion point. Exactly the same problem. MAVs are much less common, as players tend to prefer charging into the midst of a flag or fighting a tank 1v1 for some reason. When I conceal my MAV near a flag on its flank to operate as a mobile spawnpoint with the notion that people will spawn and assault the flag, I get a lot of furious responses in chat. MAVs and transport helis, in my opinion, should have their own spawn duty. Because they’re used on so many maps, you won’t receive furious messages from littlebirds or tank/apc players.
- AA tanks are yet another unsung hero. A single anti-aircraft tank may effectively lock off a huge area of the map to planes. They’re quite efficient. If you get four of them out at the same moment, God help you. That is something I have battled against. Unfortunately, hostile aircraft, you will not be able to play this game.
- Defensive players are those who play on the defensive side of the field. When athletes play defense, I adore them. Conquest in practically every Battlefield game devolves into a rotation where each team’s main zerg goes around the map together capturing flags. But every now and then, you have certain guys that play defense, which I like. It’s so much more enjoyable when you have folks to assist you. Mines, mines, mines. This time, mines were severely nerfed by being very obvious. They are, nevertheless, still quite efficient against the newbish tank. It’s a lot of fun to set a mine trap in an area where you know a small hovercraft or automobile will attempt to enter. Then there was nothing except a big explosion and several fatalities in the distance.
- Crates should not be used for personal gain. Ammo boxes, medical crates, medpin, and armor are the most prevalent devices I see. The reason for this is because players only utilize them when they are absolutely necessary. But if you put down a box because you notice another player in need, I adore you. It aids with keeping your team’s momentum flowing, healing, and playing well in general.
I simply wanted to bring these playstyles to your notice. I know how powerful they can be, and I know how much I love it when I watch players perform them.
